Membership:

you to the first rehearsal.
Dues:
In order for our
choir to receive appropriate orchestral accompaniment for rehearsals,
concerts and Performances, the choir membership dues are $50.00
per Semester.
Sheet Music:
1.
Sheet music cost the organization money.
In order to defray cost and to afford a seasonal variation in
music, we collect sheet music costs from vocal members.
The cost for this semester is:
$15.00.
2.
Sheet music cost is due when dues are collected.
(Cost varies per season.)
3.
Once dues and sheet music costs are collected, your sheet music
is yours to use and keep.
Feel free to make any marks necessary in rehearsals to the music.
Pencil recommended.
Replacement music can be re-purchased as available.
4.
LCC requires sheet music to be placed in a black ½ to 1” matte
black binder for the concerts.
Your black binder may be purchased at any office supply store or
through LCC for an additional $5.00.
Attendance
Requirements:
1.
Chorus Members are expected to attend at minimum 70% of
rehearsals in order to perform with the choir, thereby allowing 3
absences per season. Any
more should be approved by the Conductor.
(Professional guest soloists are the only participating
exceptions to this requirement.)
2.
All rehearsals will be held in the Choir Room at FUMC Rockwall,
beginning promptly at 7:30 pm with announcements and social starting at
7:00 p.m. and ending promptly by 9:00 p.m.
3.
Chorus members are expected to participate in the seasonal
concert, unless previously discussed with the Conductor.

Chorus
members are expected to attend the Concert Dress Rehearsal, unless
excused by the Conductor.

Requirements:

Tuxedo attire: Black
tux pants and shirt. Robes from
First United Methodist Church Rockwall.
Special discounts are available for rental at Al’s Formal Wear,
Rockwall. Tux rental order
should be placed one month prior to concert.
Women:
Formal tea or floor
length Black skirt or dress with long or ¾ length sleeves for Winter.
(Mid-arm length approved for Spring.)
NO sleeveless tops allowed.
Stud earrings w/a single strand of pearls.
Other
Opportunities to Sing and Serve the LCC:
(The choir may have other opportunities to perform throughout the
year.)
1.
Members may audition to participate in small group ensembles (ie
Cantare or Voice Male) or even Solo opportunities for LCC Concerts and
performance outings as needed.
If yes, you will be
contacted by the conductor to schedule an audition for placement.
2.
Members may seek out LCC Board positions serving as a Member of
the Board in an Open position.
If yes, our
President will contact you and discuss putting forth your name for
nomination to the Board.
3.
Members will be expected to help as needed to seek support,
membership, sponsorship and fundraising for LCC.
The choir has orchestral needs every season, as well as
scholarship obligations to our community.
4. Members may also plan and participate in organizing social events for all members to enjoy outside of rehearsal and concert settings. These may include cocktail socials, choral dinners and field trips to other concert venues and performances.
