Membership:

General membership pre-requisites include:

Good sight-reading abilities
Good vocal quality
Ability to blend vocally
Previous choral ensemble experience is a plus

Auditions are relaxed and friendly, and give us a chance to get to know you and your voice before rehearsals get underway.

You will be asked to:

· Sing individually - the first verse of "America" (My country 'tis of thee) or you may sing a prepared piece of your choosing.

· Vocalize - sing simple vocalises throughout the range of your voice.

· Pitch Retention - sing back a series of 3-6 notes after they are played for you on the piano.

· Sight reading (optional at the Director’s discretion) - sing a short melody and rhythmic exercise.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Rockwall High School Choral room.

Dues

Dues are used to help defray expenses such as the cost of music, rehearsal space rental, etc. and must be paid before you receive your music. Dues for a Singer are non-refundable:

- $50 per full season ($25 fall/$25 spring), plus concert attire.

* When an invitation is extended to join the choir, a condition of acceptance is a commitment to attend all rehearsals and concerts (except where permission has been granted).
