Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to area graduating high school seniors who are interested in pursuing a degree in music. Currently, the Chorus offers two scholarship opportunities. Qualified applicants must print or download scholarship applications  and mail them to: Patrick McClendon, Scholarship Chairman, 4507 CR 2706, Caddo Mills, TX, 75135.

Auditions will be held on TBD. Appointments will be made by phone after receipt of application forms.

Our  LCC Marilyn Miller Music Scholarship for 2009  This scholarship is for $1000.00.   The  live Auditions were held Saturday May 30th at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockwall.   3  students met the requirements and were eligible to compete.  To audition they must be a senior at Rockwall High School and plan to major in Music at the University level. 
 
 
2009 Winner:  TREVOR ST. JOHN-GILBERT    For the audition Trevor sang "vittoria, mio core", and "Impossible Dream"   Trevor is the son of Scott and Rachel St. John-Gilbert, 1705 Crest hill Dr in Rockwall. 
 
Trevor has been a member of the Rockwall Accapella Choir and "Show choir" and also sang with the Lakeside Civic Chorus.  He has been awarded a scholarship and accepted to the University of Michigan, majoring in Musical Theatre. 
 
Trevor is an AP and UIL Scholar ranking 10th in his graduating class of 420.  He received the highest rating in the UIL State Solo competition in Austin Tx and was also selected as "one of the best choral singers in the All Region Choir."  He is a member of the "Spotlight"  advanced theatre class, been in many productions, and had the lead role in last years musical, "Man From La-Moncha"
